The airline Qatar Airways, based in Doha airport, announced they will add four weekly flights in the coming winter season 2012, which means there will be a total of 11 weekly flights to Barcelona. The new frequencies will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The aircraft used will remain the same: an Airbus A330-200/300. The schedules for all frequencies will be as follows:
In 2011 Qatar Airways carried more than 125,000 passengers, an increase of over 50% compared to 2010, the year in which it carried 41,371 passengers.
